Default Toolbox tie-down

Hi all.

I built a toolbox for my Ranger, and now it's just sitting there on the bed rails. I was wondering how the 'real' toolboxes were fixed to the truck.

Are yours just sitting there, weight of the toold in there holding it, or is it bolted down ?

The j hook goes on the the inside lip of your bed and the staright part goes up through the part of the toolbox that goes over your bed rails

you can find j hooks at just about any hardware store/box store. my old boss used just regular bolts to bolt it down to the rails of the pickup bed. they also used foam pads for between the toolbox and pickup bed to prevent scratches. not really sure why though since they just put a hole in rails.
