Default Front Bumper Fix Advice Needed

Hi,

I was just hit by another driver and it bent the front left part of my bumper in along with denting the fender. I'm wondering if I can hammer the bumper straight myself. I'm not looking to get it pristine, just to push the bumper back out away from the tire. I've attached some pictures. Let me know what you think.

Thank!

grab yourself a chain and find a tree... if you attach it to the corner of the bumper and gently... VERY gently back up repeatedly you should be able to just pull the bumper back out... ive done this trick about 4 times.. worked every time.

Well...I live in Texas so I'm short on trees. It is bent straight in from the left so I'm not sure how to get pressure directly from the side.

----------

I guess another question is....can I leave it as is...I plan till drive it till it dies and there is no rub probably about 3-4in of clearance. Drove 200 miles form Austin to Dallas and didn't have a problem.

Yeah If it doesnt rub you can leave it. You could use another truck instead of a tree.

You could hook your bumper to another truck and pull it directly out. Just be VERY careful. I've never had this problem, but I'm sure it would work.

The bumper doesn't seem to be bent. Is it most likely a bracket? I'm sure I can take it off and look. I've never taken the bumper off. Can one guy handle it or do I need to get someone else?

Y'all are great by the way.

My dad has a Ram. Any suggestions on rigging the chain?

pull it, dnt beat it, you'll F' it up.....and if you take loose the header panel you can tweak that fender by hand and get it back straight
