I have been looking everywhere for in-channel visers in Canada, last place I called was ford dealer. They told me the in-channel are not recommended by Ford due to wind noise and it wracks the seals. Thoughts on this?

Sounds like a load of crap. I've used in-channel ones for awhile now and I love them, if anything they've reduced my wind noise

I have avs in channels. They do make the window not seal when all the way up and will let wind in at highway speeds. But if you drop the window slightly it will go away. I got mine from bass pro shop.

I would think as long as it's the right topic it would be better to post a question in an old thread than to make a new one...

Anyone have problems with the weathertech in channel ones not sealing? That's what I was going to get, but if all in channel ones make it noisier with the windows shut then I have no interest in them.

We'll it's only my driver one. I think I might have messed it up when I put it on. The tape is falling off by the mirror. I gotta get new double sides tape. The in channel ones look a lot better then the stick on ones.

I had the in channel ones on my last Ranger & loved them. I am going to put them on this on also. No problems here.

I have the same visors, and got these same results. It's an incredible minimal amount of wind noise increase. With the radio on even a little, it's not really noticeable. I also had in-channel visors on my Tacoma, and had the same results.

Being in canada, you might want to be careful with them when it's cold; My windows will freeze to the visors when they're rolled all the way up tight. I just gently rock the window crank up & down a few times till it breaks loose, so it doesn't pop the visor out of the channel.

Bought mine on Amazon, but they also carry them at autozone.

The in-channel visors use a sticky adhesive to "bond" themselves in place, inside the channel. I suppose that if you tried to rip them out, it might damage the seal. But unless you remove them, you shouldn't see any seal damage.

Yeah when you crank them up tight that's when the air comes in. But if you don't put them up tight like you roll them up till they go in the seals then they are fine

I've had the Ford branded in-channel visors on my truck since 08 (actually they were even installed by Ford) and have had no issues with wind noise or the seals.
