Default Grille choices

Coming up is the restoration of my '85 ranger. I am alway looking for new ideas. Right now I am looking for grille choices . Today I was informed about billet grilles and I don't know anything about them or and other custom grilles and what they look like. Please help me out on some thoughts towards a new grill for my '85 and other spec I would have to do to the truck to make it work

www.LMCtruck.com

The top one would work. The other 2 are for different years.

The grille STL posted will not fit your truck without modification. Unfortunately, your truck has a 1 piece grille/headlight surround assembly, in which as far as I know, no custom grille is made for. You will need to cut the current grille section out of your surround, and find a way to fasten the billet grille from a newer truck in, and cut it down to size. OR, you can do an 89-92 front clip swap, which will gain you many more options for grilles, since the grille is separate from the headlight surrounds on those years.

Ahh I see. Thanks so much for the information. I'll see what I can do with it. Would there be a way to plate the org. grille with chrome?

I am personally a HUGE fan of billet grilles. It is the first customization I made to my truck when I got it, and I haven't had a complaint about it yet

No problem. If you find a place that can do chrome plating on plastic, then yea you can definitely do that.

Here's the grilles for your truck that LMC offers at the top of the page. All of them are stock though.
