so my truck came with a ford plastic bed liner, but it doesn't quite fit in right and has some bumps along the top of the bed. im debating taking it out and either putting in a different plastic liner or doing a spray on. are spray on liners better?

i used the herculiner bed liner kit..got it on sale for $75 it turned out great the only down side was that when i put it on it was the hottest day of the year (like 105)... the stuff got tacky but it turned out great..no complaints so far
so its best to apply in 60-90 degree weather

Dunno about that.

Having to repaint everytime something you move digs in and scrapes down to the metal seems like a hassle to me.

Plastic has advantages, and i still don't know about the bedliner being bad for the truck, everyone i've asked so far told me its a myth, owners and dealers alike.

if you do it your self get the spray cans instead of the roll on. i did the roll on in my bed and the spray on my bumpers. the spray turned out allot more evenly textured and held up better than the roll on.

The drop-in liner my truck came with had worn the paint completely away in a pair of spots above the tail lights, so I opted for a spray-in.

~$400 is what I paid for an Over-the-rail Armor Coating liner (looks and feels exactly like Line-X for $150 less).
