Re: Ford Ranger hood painting
Painting a hood is quite simple. I removed mine to prevent overspray. After that, wet sand with fine sand paper. You can clean it off with alcohol to remove any dirt, oil from your hands, and paint powder. Look into the gleam of the hood. If you see anything shiny, sand it again. Once it's all sanded and clean, tape off your pattern. When you're done with tape, start painting. Keep the nozzle about 10 - 12 inches away from the hood. The finer the spray, the better it will look. Add about 4 or 5 coats of color and then 3 or 4 coats of clear coat. It's actually simple. Give it a try!
