Default Painting A Fender?

So I know all you paint pros out there are gonna give me hell but here goes. Most of you have seen my beautiful fender. I was wondering if a really thorough prep, and a can of this color matched spray paint and spray clear coat would look decent at all? It doesnt have to look perfect, just not gray anymore haha.

Something like this: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/spray_paint.aspx

Just go to local auto parts store and get dupli-color in cans, matches great.

Mine looks like shit. I regret doing it everyday I look at my hood. Shoulda just left it alone. As soon as I get my income tax check, shes getting a cowl induction hood, and the front clip painted.

Yup. I used the formentioned dupli-color from Advanced. The color matches spot-on, but the finish sucks the big one.

been painting for 18yrs..............take it to a shop, there is no way an amateur can even attempt a color like that, it will have to be blended on to hood and door/ re clearing door, hood and fender.... there is a 2% chance you'll get it right, and 98% fact you cause more work for the next person, in turn costing way more in the long run..

Here is another question if you have a chance ....

Circles in my paint from those dam car washes ... Do I have to get them wet sanded out or is there another way ? Would a compound be rough enough to get them out ? What about the clear coat ???
