Bolts for hitch install
Hey guys,
I snagged a factory hitch off craigslist yesterday and need to install it this morning. I'm pretty sure I'll need 6 1/2" bolts but I'm not sure exact lengths or if I need any kind of washers or anything.
Can somebody with a factory hitch take a look and tell me?

Factory meaning its the hitch that the truck came with from the factory. Its a stock/Ford original equipment. Its 6 bolts, I'm pretty sure 1/2", just not sure if I'll need any washers or anything. I'm thinking I'll just get some lock nuts maybe.

Re: Bolts for hitch install
finished install, probably easiest thing ever. especially if you have air tools.
I used six grade 8 1/2" x 1 1/2' bolts, 6 washers and six lock washers.
Had to back out one of the bumper mount bolts to fit a wrench on the back of one of the hitch bolts but other than that, it was very straight forward, just like you'd expect.
I didn't know what the torque specs were, but I just cranked it down with the impact wrench and then gave it couple snugs with a ratchet to make sure it was good.
