t-bar help
hey I hope this is the right place to ask. but I have a problem with my t-bars. first off, one bolt is out more then the other and the one out more rides a bout a quarter inch higher, I don't know what is wrong. and second i did a t-bar lift and brought the clearance from 10 inches to 12 inches, I went on a ride around my neighborhood and came back and the clearance is now just below the 11 inch mark. did something go wrong or did I do it wrong?

Re: t-bar help
the bolts being different lengths is completely normal and nothing is wrong the suspension just settled...but as to the one side of the truck riding higher which im assuming is the pass side is called the ranger lean lol...its because the gas tank is on the drivers side of the truck...back the pass. bolt out a little and that will even things out

Re: t-bar help
Yeah, no problem, one of mine was set from the factory different from the other, I just raised them and made adjustments to raise the front and then even the height from left to right side.

Re: t-bar help
Jack up the truck and start 1/2 turn at a time a little more on the lower side, lower it drive around the block to settle the suspension and adjust again until you get the height you want, You can typically add up to 2" or more by adjusting the torsion bars. keep in mind the more you crank them the stiffer the ride. If you just level the front with the rear, or slightly higher higher the ride will not suffer too much. My truck had sagged and I leveled it out and I actually prefer the slightly firmer ride. You may want to get the alignment set after you do this too.
