Exclamation 8000k HID kit, what do you think?

Just wondering, has anyone used this product?

http://hidnation.com/9007hidkits.html

I was thinking about buying it for my 2003 Edge. I was also wondering about the color, 8000k is pretty close to the pretty blue/white you see on the nice bmws and porches right? I love that color Anyways, if anyone has advice etc about HIDS, or can show me a better offer, post away!

Thanks,
Andrew

my friend got 6000 and theyre bright as hell. make sure u get the right lens for it or else the light will b all over scattered everywhere, i know tht where i live you would need a projector lens wit the bulb or else its an illegal setup. look into that.

Good to know codeman, apparently the bulbs will work with the stock range headlight so I'm not to worried about that, but I'll wait for more people to chime in as well. I also read that the 6k is brighter than the 8k because it is more white, but everythig I've been reading on the net is so mixed up it's hard to tell who's right. Thanks for your input though.

Yes, pretty blue, machine.

8000K is dark blue. The OEM color of xenon projectors is 4300K. Also, these are illegal and dangerous should you install these in your truck. You will lose controlled light and your high beams. The glare coming from these in your stock halogen reflectors WILL blind people and can cause accidents (FF/EMS here)!

PnP are 100% in all 50 states of the USA. To properly control the xenon light, you would have to use a xenon projector.

Yes they will but again, this is very dangerous for other people including yourself. 6K is brighter than 8K, but 4300K is the brightest.

Umm lots of misinformation. Read the "legality of HIDS" and got better info. I suggest people to read that post instead of this advice. They are dangerous if the light is not focused properly, something I will be taking care of. Anyways, a new thread is up for HID questions so I suppose this one should be closed now.
