Default Aries Brush Guard

Anyone have any experience/feedback on these? I found a helluva deal on one but haven't heard of them before. They look like a copy of the Westin bars.

I never heard of them, but it looks ok, just get the specs on what kind of paint and coating they use on it and what the warranty is if any.

the only difference between this bar and the westin in the westin has a top cross bar AND the smaller bar above that.

everyone ive known who has had this style of brush guard, there shitty. Maybe there not. But my friend hit a tree with one and it crunched his front end. I would just make one home made. Or spend more on one. I would say cattle guards are stronger then the brush guards... But if it's just for looks, it looks pretty cool.

Pretty sure if you hit a tree no grille guard is going to help that impact... they're not meant for accident protection, they only thing they're good for is protecting your front end from deer, and holding off road lights, and sometimes they cause more damage than good if the deer hits hard enough.

Buddy just got a bull bar for his Dodge from them. I didnt really think it looked like good quality. Paper thin stainless steel accross the bar and cheap plastic caps on the end of the tubing.

I shopped a lot for those kinds of bars (bull and full from Aries Westin and no-names), they're all aesthetic. To know, look where they attach, usually at the base of your truck, under your bumper, no attachement in the middle part to resist to a hit.

Your best bet, if you want something to be resistant, is to fabricate it or have it done in a shop. Or change the whole bumper. I haven't found a working add-on protective bar so far

I'm mostly just after the aesthetics and a place to mount some lights. I was mainly concerned about cheap materials or rust forming due to shitty finishing.
