Re: Truck Tent for the ranger?
I go camping 2 or 3 times a summer and I've looked at these before and I was goin to pick up a new tent this year. But when I'm camping sometimes I wanna run into town real quick or go on a quick wheelin trip away from the campsite can u take the tent outta the bed without breakin it down? is it easy to take out and how long does it take like 5min?

@hazard....
If that works, it's GENIUS. I never would have thought about building a frame out of PVC.

Re: Truck Tent for the ranger?
dude eric that tent frame is rad! the cover shouldnt be hard to make, and if you use heavy canvas it will be well insulated and pretty damn rain resistant.

Re: Truck Tent for the ranger?
if i remember this correctly btw it drains rain by hanging over the side (the canvas)
from the bottom of the bed it is 52 inches...4.25 feet
length of tent is 5 feet bur drapes over side so 6 feet
and then ummm the widith is like 4 feet
so on general canvas sizes what do i need?
any excess tarp will be rolled up and used as a tying down point i plan to use the trucks frame with bungee cords or something lol havnt gottnen that far! may strap velco straps inside the tent to wrap around the pipe
