Default Installing brush guard??? HELP?!

I just bought a manik brush guard (made for 89 ford ranger) for my 99 ranger. It only came with two small metal pieces, no bolts. I don't have a clue how to mount it. Can anyone help? I called pepboys the guy said his guess was around $200 if they have to fabricate mounting brackets, and put it on at some other place (pepboys doesn't do it). But anyone have any ideas?

No offense, but I can picture what it will look like in my mind, and it's not pretty. The 89's had too flat of a face for that guard to fit right on your truck. Unless you wanna drill holes in your bumper, you're gonna have to fab something, but I would suggest going to a welding shop and talking with somebody in there. $200 is STEEP! I had a guy modify my headache rack (almost 4 hours of work) and it only cost me $60. Get some brackets fabbed and install it yourself.

How thick should they be? My brother's the parts manager at Pepboy's so I'm sure he can help me alot when he can tho. He doesn't live with me, so It may be a week before I see him. That's why I wana get as much done now, as much figured out. With him I can execute the fabricating, and designs. But anything I can learn on my own, or anything I can do on my own will make it go by alot faster, and smoother.

a brushguard designed for a 1999 will look Goofy on a 1989. the lines won't match up.
please, sell it and buy the proper fitting guard.
