Default Brush Guard / grill guard questions

Looking to buy a grill guard that only protects the front middle, not the headlights, samething as the one pictured in the link below,
93 Ranger STX 4x4 Project Log
my question is do specific guards made for vechile and year only fit to those vehicles because i have a 93 ranger and looks like the guards for rangers are mostly 98+. is it hard to modify the guard to fit or are there guards from other years models that can bolt right up or without much fab? below is a link of one of the guards that im talking about

if you are still looking here is a brush guard i think you are talking about that should bolt up with maybe a little drilling.

It's not hard to modify one from a later gen, I couldn't tell you what it would take, but I know that it can be done.

I had a grill guard from a 92 Ranger that all I did was grind out the area that was made to fit the curve of the bumper and it bolted right up to the newer Ranger.

Hey guys i just got a brush guard from my buddy's 2011 ford ranger. My ranger is a 99 though. I am also missing the mounting brackets for them. Which brackets should i buy in order to make the brush guard fit on my 99?
