Default Custom painting under and parts. Like the colors? Any suggestions?

Okay, so I'm going to paint the trucks under carrage and engine and compartment. You all like the color scheme? Any suggestions?. My wife said my cloths aren't color corrinated!

Oh, and here's a picture. Not my wife, but my antique Ranger. The other Ranger is my 1997 XLT. Below is my color code list

Engine:
Block- Red
Intake - Blue
Pulleys - Yellow
Dipstick Tube- Yellow
Oil Pan- Yellow
Air Filter canister (top and bottom)- Black enamel
Other parts, like the heater fan, and such are also getting paint
The fire wall is the same color as the exteriour- Just a waxing is
called for. (Thats right No rust)

Undercarrage
Steel wool surface rust cleaning first.
Rustoleum brown primer, front to back
Rustoleum Black Enamel, front to back
Complete, the all under carrage. Several coats.

Rear springs- Blue
Rear axel- yellow
Rear Break covers- Blue (maybe)
Rear Shocks- Yellow
Inside wheel rims- Black Enamel
Outside wheel rims- Silver
Twin I beam suspension- Yellow
Front coil springs- Blue
Front shocks- Yellow
Crossmenber- Yellow
Spare tire holder- Yellow (Spare same as wheels on truck).

Bumpers
Black enamel

Origional color (Medium Dark Fire Red) Code 3656, in case anyone needs the code. Took me 4 weeks to get it from Ford... Exteriour stays the factory color, Inside is Vinyl red. Also stays the same.

if your going to suggest different colors, Please leep with the Rust-o-elum colors.

I think it may look like it was in a crayon factory and they had a explosion.

I would stick with red and black. Mixing yellow, blue, silver, red and black may make it look goofy

I agree I think just sticking to black and red would look best

with the exception of the shocks maybe, I'm a sucker for painted shocks lol

I think the rear axle and the shocks are a must (yellow)... Engine block (red) and intake (blue) are a must. Probally all the black origionally under the hood too. Enamel, not flat..?? What ya thinks?.

dupli-color makes an aerosol bed liner (found in parts stores), that works very well for under carriage paint. It's what I used.. looks really well.. has a fine texture not globs, and its not like rubberized under coating,

leave it alone unless you're going to pull the motor and do it the right way

There's some surface rust in several spots under there. There's no need to pull the motor. It's wide open in the engine compartment. Not like todays. Hell today you need to remove a lot of equipment just to replace the spark plugs. This truck's 1985, when USA made stuff you can work on. Getting to everything is going to be easy. I just have to get it high enough to be comfy under there.

Pulling the engine would be perfect, but don't have the equipment, or the space to do that... There is still a little bit of work to do before the painting begins. Painting is after all else is done... Guess I'm getting ahead of myself..
