Default cab swap

ok so as most of you know i rolled my truck over a week ago and i was going to get rid of it but my uncle talked me into maybe doing a cab swap and keeping the truck. how hard is it to swap cabs on an 02 extended cab.

I'm thinking that will be a butt load of work unless you can get one with the dash and all in it and swap it that way.

it depends if you have a complete cab then its 6 bolts lift up the whole cab and front clip on to your frame bolt it down and your good to go.. if you need to put the interior in that could take awhile..

not that hard, I would try and buy a complete cab, wld def be easier..

Steering , linkages , cables , harness's , fuse box , computers , airbags (even if the new one came with one have to be reset )

It would definately be alot of work but if you have help and the help and you knows what you're doing it would be good for saving the truck

or you could cut the roof off and make it convirtible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a rollcage if you want

The cab itself is the same but the clutch pedal would probably be in the cab and the column if its included. If you get an 01-03 cab the holes in the cab should be the same for your harnesses to go thru.

i did a cab swap on a 98 x-cab last year with a friend. it took us about a week and it was hard but the work was worth it he saved close to 5,000
