Help with Camper shell
Tomorrow i'm driving 3 hours then 3hours back to buy a Leer 122 camper shell for $200. I need all of your opinions. It's going to go onto my 2wd regular cab 2000 Ford Ranger. Also it's black and going on my gold ranger.
Here's a pic of the Leer 122 camper shell the one i'm getting will be black

Re: Help with Camper shell
Thats a nice style and its a nice thing to have but driving six hours and paying $200 seems like a bad deal to me; especially since its not the color of your truck
maybe I'm just a little biased though I drove ten minutes to pay $40 for mine but mines not that great. So I guess it depends on what condition its in and everything.
Now that I saw Terry drove 26 hours 6 hours doesn't sound too bad anymore

Yeah but the chances of me finding another shell closer and that price is really low. And if I was looking for the same color as my truck i'd be looking for ever. I may be able to get it painted for a cheaper price since I know a few people that own some shops but untill then i'm wondering on how it would look while it's black on my gold ranger. I live in a small town I could drive from one side of the town to the other in about 5 minutes or so lol. Just pull up christiansburg VA on google maps and check it out lol.

lol now that I'm reading the other posts and the more I think of it maybe thats not such a bad deal after all, and you do make a good point aboat the color of your truck, that would be hard to find one like that. As far as the black on the gold I guess it can't look any worse than my current navy blue on bright red so I'd say go for it.

Re: Help with Camper shell
I drove three hours and decided not to get it so then I drove another three hours back lol. The back glass was scrached to hell, inside was mildewed and the weather stripping was coming off.

Yeah, all well only 6 hours of my life is behind me now. Any how I took the risk of not knowing enough about it and driving all that way to it.
