I bought a new 2011 Ranger a few weeks ago and tried to remove the "Ranger" and "Ford" emblems; now there are holes in the tailgate! I even asked here about it and forgot . The fenders will have the same problem, but I was able to put the fender emblem back on carefully(I screwed up the tailgate emblems). I am wondering if any year Rangers or Mazdas came with smooth fenders or tailgates, i.e. no holes, just glue holding on the emblems, that would swap without bodywork? I might try to keep an eye out for some black fenders and a tailgate and swap 'em out.

all tailgates and fenders will come with emblem mounting holes no matter the year.

actually now that you mention that Chris i believe you are right, the mazda's had stickers instead of emblems on the tailgate IIRC. the fenders will still have the holes though.

no, it will fit. a guy at work is running a mazda gate on his 93 ranger. they are the same.

The mounts are exactly the same for the Ranger/B-series gate and the Mazda's are smooth with just stickers like mine

just purchase a new emblem at the ford dealer. or tell them someone tried to steal it. maybe since it's under warranty, they will install a new one for free!

The large ford emblem on the back was pretty bad, bad enough I wanted it off of there! It was like 6"-8" across, plus the "Ranger" emblem, and the dealer's emblem(thankfully they didn't punch holes in there as well); just a bunch of tacky plastic junk on the back of my nice new black truck. I prefer a smooth look. Some day I'll have the holes in the fenders welded up...

Will a 2011 tailgate interchange with a 1999 ?
