Default Rear brake drum (Painting)

Hey I am thinking about painting my brake Calipers and i am wondering should i paint the rear brake drum also? Do people paint those? Because if i don't paint those i will only have the front brake Calipers painted..

yes people paint them all the time!! all colors

IMO black is the best color to do drums in. I use on the drums a grille or any heat paint so it can handle the temp's that the drums may get to
on the calipers I have always used the caliper paint. It holds up pretty good!

I used to paint the calipers/drums on my other vehicles all the time. Never bothered with the calipers/drums on the Ranger because you can't really see much of them with my stock 5-spoke wheels. Even though the drums don't really get hot, the calipers do, and you'll obviously want to use the same paint for both front and rear. I would always use Dupli-Color High Heat spray paint for both the calipers and drums.. It's good up to 1200 degrees. I got great results with it. The nice thing about using that stuff is you have a huge range of colors to choose from. I never actually took the brakes apart either, just taped off everything around them. I recommend the Dupli-Color paint, but whatever you get make sure it's designed to handle high temperatures. If you just used regular spray paint, it will literally boil and bubble on the calipers. But in my opinion and from my experience, you don't need to buy "caliper paint".

My drums from my ZX2....

Well i don't have the stock rims on my Ranger no more. I have some were you can see the calipers and the drum.. I am looking to buy new rims because i want to get the thin tires and better rims. But that's another topic..

I seen that Dupli-color paint stuff. I am just going to get some of that stuff because the "caliper paint" is just going to cost more money. And the high-heat paint will work just fine i bet.

I am going to tape everything up using newspaper because i really don't wont to remove the brake caliper but its been raining here in GA a lot lately so when the rain stops i am going to do it before it gets cold.

And BTW
I like the red you painted your drum "Jay FX4"
