Default lets talk Tonneau Covers

The time has come for me to start planning out my next few steps in my journey to the perfect ranger. I have been looking and weighing all Tonneau Cover options and was just wonder what everyone thought. And how everyone liked what they had on their truck. Reviews and links and pictures would be great!!! Thanks!!!

I have always been a fan of the lids that lifted up. But never cared for the fiberglass jobs. My first attempt at solving this was using a vinyl tono cover to wich I attached a hinge and struts. It worked very well until at the job site one day the wind blew and up went the cover, breaking the frame in half. My most recent attempt was to add security to my truck. I use another vinyl tono cover and frame. Took off the vinyl and put on diamond plate. Hinged it, strutted it, put in 2 "T" handles with locks. I would say just get a vinyl cover, there light, look good and do the job. If security is an issue than get a hard cover that locks.

Garage Pro from JCwhitney.com pretty cheap. I had a friend paint it.

Comes in black that would be fine if the truck is black

Has a carpet on the bottom side and weather strip along the front and side. Also has 2 lock on the back.

I love my hard bed cover. It fold in four pieces. I can't remember the brand off the top of my head though. Look in my album for pics. It can be removed with just 2 bolts if needed and the clamps stay put on the inner bed rails for easy installation afterwards. I have yet to take it off but it seems like it would be very easy to remove and reinstall.

They're not cheap at all but I got mine from Craigslist. A guy bought it and wrecked his truck before he could install it. It was several hundred new and I paid $250 or $300. Can't remember...

xstang make a cover that requires no mods to vehicle and will not damage paint, you can have the vinyl cover off in 10 sec, or remove the frame in 10min.. awesome warranty too.. I paid $225 for mine on eBay

I had a Fibrobec cover on my 95 for 16 years and loved the look and function ALMOST all of the time... only time I didn't like it was when I needed to remove it to haul my bike or other large items. Then it wasn't convenient having that style of cover.

I have a TruXedo roll up tonneau cover which I got for $184 from AutoAnything. It doesn't sit as low as the ones posted here but I'm ok with that. If I were to do it over I would spend the extra and get a low profile one.

My bad! The price was $284 which it is the same price now. Getting old and have CRS.

I have the TruXedo TruXport cover and yea they are pricey. A local shop wanted $365 for the same cover. I like it though and the 5 year warranty is a plus. The installation instructions are too simplified IMO.

I like the looks of the TruXedo Lo Pro QT cover. There's a how to installation here if you want to take a look at it but it's pricey.

I have thr Tonno Pro Low Roll soft roll up cover and love it. No pictures to show you as I just installed it. It fits almost flat and does not cover up the rail pocket holes letting you still use as anchor points or rails. About $300, check out there web site.
