Default Pro-tech Headache Rack

I know there is a few of you out there with a Pro-tech headache rack. I'm curious as to how much they cost. I walked into a dealership and they told me they are $600-800 which I could not believe. I know they are pricey but I don't think they are as pricey as the ballpark range the guy told me.
Is there any other brands out there that sell headache racks?

Default Re: Pro-tech Headache Rack

Retail back when I purchased mine new was about $380. This was in 2007 and ProTech is just right across the Columbia River from me.

Aluminum prices have come up since then.

BakRack or whatever makes a decent looking steel mesh headache rack/cab guard that's more than likely a considerable amount cheaper than the aluminum rack from ProTech.

You could buy a welder, take a welding class, make your headache rack and still have change leftover for $6-800...

Thanks. I think the headache rack from Pro-Tech is still around the price range that you listed but I want mine black powder-coated, with lumber stops and mesh. They added like $150 to the base price for that.

I don't have time. My dad has two good welders. I'm set. I'll probably end up making my own after all. Idk.
