Re: Jacking up my truck
Only thing I need to jack it up for is to swap tires and rims. I have tons of clearance, just have to get the tires off the ground

Re: Jacking up my truck
You're stuck with cribbing. You can use those seats that you can't seem to give away if you need too.
lol, j/k. My buddy has an 02 F150 that sits pretty high, and he took a few 2X8's and nailed them together in a few spots. He then sticks his jack on top of that. It's worked every time we've used it.
I'm guessing your precinct doesn't have it's own fleet maintenance division?

Re: Jacking up my truck
I see. Our Sherrif's Office has it's own fleet maintenance division right on premises. I think our police department utilizes the city vehicle fleet maintenance division.

Re: Jacking up my truck
We technically are not supposed to use it, especially for personal needs. But One time my alternator died out in a blazer of mine so I swapped it out there. I dont want to push my limits with the friggin politicians in this town. Smaller towns usually just use the DPW guys to do it, but yeah bigger city departments have their own which is pretty cool. Like Harlen from CHiPs!!

Re: Jacking up my truck
Clinton doesn't need a jack to change tires, he merely holds the truck up by the bumper with one hand and changes tires with the other hand.
..... wrong thread, but who cares?

Re: Jacking up my truck
Yea, hey..., Get two nice 4"X4"s or 8"X8"s Deck building stuff 36"-48" long and bolt those puppies together. Nice jacking platform. Cut some of the left overs up to make your cradle and your good to go!

Re: Jacking up my truck
My RamCharger ( 86 ) I used a floor jack and used a block on top of the floor jack on the axle . From the Axle to the floor , did you measure it ? You can also use truck chocks and chock the wheels . My 2001 Ram Pick up was lower but had town and country tires and they were huge . Same way as the truck sat tall , but I never had to take the tires off ....
