It would be alot easier just replacing the assembly. If you try to take the broken mirror off and replace it, it will most likely cost the same and will be more time consuming

Last time I had that issue I had to go to a glass shop to replace it and they couldnt even get it to the exact size and it looked like crap and cost almost 100.00
I recommend replacing the whole part with a used one? or see if you can get just the glass from Ford
