Default Requesting Headlight Help

OK,

I bought some headlights on Ebay. They came in the other day and look good, but the top plastic connector piece thingy is on backwards. I was afraid to mess with it b/c when I tried to unscrew it, it was on pretty tight. Sending the item back to the shipper is not an option.

Does it unscrew? How can I reverse it?? I don't have an actual pic of the light at the moment b/c I'm at work, but I stole a pic from the How-to guide to illustrate my point.

I'm hoping I'm just an idiot and that its very simple to do...but could you guys help me figure this out.

if you are talking about the big black part that you are holding then you will twist the black part let it slide back and then wiggle the part that actualy holds the buld. what clinton said would help to

My new headlights came with adjusters that felt like they were welded in place. They finally broke loose & I shot some lubricant on them, but I ended up swapping them out with the adjusters from my old lights.

so you are saying that the end that is facing away from the headlight actually needs to be facing it. so its needs to be flipped around?

well cant you just losen it till it comes off? shoot some cleaner on it so losin it up if you need to. im not an expert so im not sure that turning it just makes it come off
if you can just turn it, be sure to count the turns so you can get it back to the correct amount of turns

----------

looking at this makes me think that it is actually correct how it is.

No. The picture is correct. My personal light that I bought the plastic peice is backwards. The circle end needs to be facing outwards so it can attach to the clip. The headlight I bought all of the connectors are correct, but the one on top for some reason. Ugh

Yea, that looks to be the most logical thing. I'm sure those are made to adjust. I just wanted to make sure I didnt eff it up.

The whole bracket will pop off the headlight, take it off and then unscrew the box from the post. If you mess it up just use one from your old headlights and I'll find you another at the junkyard

Yea, I thought it would pop off. Its held on by a "ball" inside the bracket. Im going to try to just unscrew it. If I mess it up Ill just use the one from my OEM lights.

Ill just use some WD-40 and try to unscrew it.
