Having a plow will have an affect on your steering components. Wheel bearing....eh not so much. Things of concern would be ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, shocks and the coil springs. I run a 6'8 sno-way, its light but I still had to slip in some washers under the spring to "level" out the front end when the plow is up. I would not recommend going with a big ol western straight blade that weighs 700#'s. Stick with something light.

We have a group started for guys with plows. Search for it in the group section, Us guys already there can give you the help you need, since not everyone is going to be familar with plows on rangers. group name is "plow pluggers"

Wheel bearings could go, but it would be more from neglect than the plow,

I have had western 6'6" on 3 different rangers with out any issues

Good weight for a plow? I think the lightest plow weighs in at 275 with out a mount
