Default Painting fender flares!

Decided to go ahead and paint my fender flares black. I got Krylon Fusion. Do I have to sand them before I start to paint?

What STL said. You need to get all the oils and dirt out of the pores first so the paint has a clean surface to adhere to.

I didn't sand mine (at least not all the way, I had some rough spots that needed leveling), just washed them then wiped each one down with rubbing alcohol before I sprayed them. I was lazy & just masked them off while on the truck & painted them that way. After a year or so, they're just starting to turn a little dull, likely from where I don't wipe them with ArmorAll as often as I should.

Use Krylon Fusion Satin black for plastics. It adheres to the plastic really well and looks good and int all glossy and stuff
