Default sandbag weights

has anyone tested the best amount for weight(enough weight compaired to gas mileage) for their 4x4 ranger?

I am using tube sand, about 180 lbs. Its doing well so far but I havent hit really deep snow yet

i just threw 10 cender blocks in the bed and my 2wd does fine

300# 6 - 50# bags of sand in 2 plastic totes over axle and I still turn the 4x4 switch when at a intersection and approaching a hill.My mpg went from 18 to 15.2 winter gas may be part of the drop.

I had 250# in my 2WD ranger, it did just fine in the snow and ice of Mammoth, CA. Kept up with my uncle's F-Super duty 4WD

I started with 300 lbs but felt that may have been a bit too much, I am using 240 now and it seems good.

I am using 240 pounds of sand , it made all the difference in the snow .
