Default Brush Guard and lights For a 1996 ranger?

Im Decently new to the Ranger Forum, and ive recently been studying up about brush guards. i recently went trail riding right after a massive rain storm in our area, splashing through the mud puddles was great fun until the return trip when the rain loosened up the hillside and brought down rocks. most were avoidable, except for a fallen dead tree. it wasn't quite too big of a tree so my natural hard headed thinking told me to gun through the tree. now i have a nifty dent and matching scratches across the front and to the side. which brings me here. i don't have the money to completely overhaul my truck with a lift kit and wheels and tires, and im not too worried about my height clearance yet, so what im basically asking is what do you guys think would be a cost effective grill guard or brush guard for my general use, and would it look alright with a stock height 2wd ranger? im also thinking about light kits, but im not sure how i feel on those for my tiny ranger haha

I reccomend fabbing one up by yourself or with a buddy or two, if you have the means.

Yeah ive been looking through them and they arent cheap lol. the light kit actually looks pretty dang good on that truck. i live in a small city where any truck thats not lifted isnt appreciated ahaha. so im just getting a buffer look. the only problem i have with fabing it is that i dont quite have the time or materials. steel is easy for me to get, and i have a welder, but i have a full class schedule which makes it nearly impossible for me to even get around to simple things such as changing the breaks or the oil haha. i might just have to suck it up and buy a guard.
