I too have a 2011 but 2wd (Coil front) model. I love the look of the stock mud guards on the older Rangers. Which kit can I get from the older trucks that will work on my '11. I'm trying to figure out how the rears would mount more than anything.

Did anything ever come of this? There seem to be plenty of "universal" options out there...but we all know how "universal" things actually work out in the driveway!

And of the few that are supposedly Ranger-specific...hidden somewhere in the fine print is the caveat that they don't work with fender flares.

I would be okay with a little surgery; I don't expect it to be a 5-minute job (and wouldn't trust it for long if it were) but I'm not keen to re-invent the wheel, either.

Perhaps something could be done in conjunction with the complete lack of any protection whatsoever over the back of the fog light assemblies, too! That really surprised me when I discovered that.

Okay, but isn't there an issue with the fitment of front flaps from an older model onto models with fender flares? I thought I remembered that being a stumbling block.

I put some on my 2011 Sport. I used the Christmas Tree push in pins through the flares. Been on since summer of 2011 and still look like the day I put them on. The ones I bought I had to modify to fit but they look good and work.

I recently put mud flaps on my o8 Ranger, XLT 3.0 engine. Went to Auto Zone here in Florida and bought 2 pair of flaps. Had to drill some holes but the mud flap worked out great. Went to NAPA Auto parts and purchased some plastic plugs to put mud flaps on. Worked wonderful.
I first went to my local Ford dealer and they wanted if I remember correctly $49.00 just for the front flaps and another $11.00 for the brackets. Was told that rear flap are no longer available. Told him I did not want to buy into the dealer ship and left.
Flaps look great. Easy to install...........

Interesting. I would have expected a couple of plastic push-pins would not be secure enough, but this is encouraging! I picked up a pair of name brand (damned if I can recall the brand, though) black ones. Flat (not contoured) and black. No mounting hardware of any kind.

I'm not too concerned with making something that'll work...I just wanted to be sure I wasn't re-inventing the wheel unnecessarily! (I do that sometimes)

Mr. Pinkerton: Did you notch your flares by any chance? or are your flaps simply affixed in front of them? May I trouble you for a couple of close-up pics when you have a moment? (LMK if you'd like to send directly rather than posting here)

Thank you everyone!

Yesterday I removed a mud flap from my 2002 Ford Ranger which look ridiculous IMO with big tires. However, once I saw the hole left behind in the fender, I quickly put it back on. What are my options for hiding those holes? I have a stepside so fender flares is not an option. I'm wondering if there is another way to hide the holes, or are there wider after market mud flaps which don't look so silly.
