for those of you using this method and struggling to remove the grille from the surround...i had excellent results using the heat from a hair dryer.
softens it up just enough so it pops out...no tools required (well thats not completely true lol i did have to use a very small screwdriver in two places
i broke my grille this winter..sub zero temps..that old plastic gets brittle. i bought a grille of eBay (black surround. dark gray grille) needs to be a black a grille. found this thread helped a lot and i was concerned that i my snap the tabs...everyone seemed to be having an issue...heat is the trick!
