Default class III hitch

im gonna go down and see if i can put on a class III hitch today but i was looking at where it would go and it looks like the spare tire would be in the way. can u not have a spare with a hitch installed?

You can have the spare there still, some hitches have different mounts, I had a reese on my truck but took it off when I did the body lift but it fit with the spare

I have done 3 by myself...not the easiest, but possible. You should have bought mine when you got my shell!!! Oh and I had mine installed with a 32" under there. Just have to drop the tire first and then put the hitch up.

I guess I read over the on and off part...you don't want to do that...

Plus you can put a tow hook or something while not in use to dissuade people from tailgating...and in the chance you get rear ended...they hit the hitch not the bumper.
