Default Going the distance...

Hey, I was doing a lot of searching and I haven't seen any builds near project beandip on the s10forums...

The owner took the bed off, and used Chassis Saver all over the frame, axle, and then undercoated the body. He also painted the wheel wells with a undercoat and then some of the chassis parts with the hammered paint.

This truck is IMMACULATE!

I was wondering, does Ranger owners go as far as S10 owners do as far as preservation of their vehicles?

I plan on doing most of it in the Spring/Summer months.

Well I definitely know that dixie_boysles goes pretty far when his truck gets dirty.
http://www.fordrangerforum.com/clean...k-warning.html

I mean i clean mine about every two days and wax one part of the truck once a week so by two months every part is continually waxed. Clay bar once a year. I spend more time cleaning it than i do driving it I would be willing to bet.

I don't know if i would say that is necessarily preserving his truck. I think that was more for looks. Most of us take care of our trucks but i dont think i would ever go this far. He is obviously trying to turn that truck into a show truck of some sort.

So to answer your question: No ranger ownerS do not go this far and neither do S10 ownerS lol this is an isolated case of OCD lol. Anybody driving any vehicle can have it

I know for a fact we have some members on here that have way cleaner trucks then dipbean. I guess you didint search good enough or maybe its cuz you were searching on the wrong forum

I think I am gonna start getting it. it is a way of preserving it because i've seen SOOO many trucks with rust covered frames that don't last long. doing the chassis saver, paint, etc keeps the truck on the road for a lot longer and rust free.

That may have been it, I found the s10 forum in my browser so i hit enter and it took me to that. they have a lot of good info, very little applies to us, but good nonetheless. I only know about it because I used to have a bagged mazda, and a bagged s10.
