Edit. Basically what I am asking is: does the position if the white wire on the bulb have anything to do with how the light is projected. Currently I have it set up as both on top.

The white wire on the bulb is just a heat shrink that keeps the wire inside of it protected from the bulb's heat. Has nothing to do with the angle of the beam whatsoever. I can't really tell you how to aim it to get the beam to go upwards instead of inward I'm thinking that's how it's supposed to be. I used to have a hi/lo kit and it did the same so played around with it and still same results. So exchanged it for some single beams and have been happy ever since

I don't think that's how it's supposed to be, I have a hi/low kit and my high beams point up like they should. I would contact DDM.

Huh.... Maybe that's true. I agree, call up DDM and they might replace your kit with a new one. Never know. Tom, could I ask for two pictures of your HIDs from low beam to high on a wall? I'm interested in seeing these beams you talk about. If it's not too much of a trouble for you. Thank you.

Honestly it doesn't bother me that much. I don't think I would switch to a single beam ever considering the main reason I got the hi lo was to use the flash ability. At least when I hit the hibrams something happens and it doesn't just turn of my heads. Fyi I did rotate the bulbs and do get differnt projections. I am happy with the setup I have now its serves it's purpose. The lows are the equivelant of my stock highs anyways lol.

Not exactly... different vehicles, different bulbs, different colors, etc. BMW one obviously has projectors too.

The high/low concept is like mine though...

I had a warranty issue when I got the DDM 55w 8000k hi/lo. I had too many issues with them. So I sent them back and just got the 55w 10000k lo and so far so good.

*Side note
55w 10000k = 35w 8000k in terms of blueness. If you want a 55w kit order one bulb higher than you would get with the 35w kit.

Thanks Tom for the advise! And thank you for the advise to brinker88 as he may not be kind enough to thank you (; But on a serious not and not trying to be a jerk but I hate comments (not just to me but others as well) when somebody asks a simple question and people give them a hard time and put no effort into helping answer the question...

But incase you were expecting the whole "Mommy and daddy bought it for me..." I have my truck paid off and the only thing they bought was the camo steering wheel cover. Just saying.
That's what I was hoping to hear! Congrats and good luck on the build. Are you SASing it? Where's the pics of your truck? I want to see it.
