Re: HID members or people that know about HID's...question?
Its preference really. The hi/lo doesnt actually get brighter, it just sucks in a lil and changes the angle(I believe)
I run the 55watt 6000k hi/lo in my truck with 35watt fogs and the fogs light up crazy amounts of ditch. I love the hi beam. In my opinion if you arent in a city get hi/lo, they make things reflect a mile away I swear.
My cobalt runs the 5000k hi/lo and they seem to be slightly brighter but it could also just be the different heads.
You will love em!
Oh - and dont trust the double sided tape...

depends on what you want? I personally like the Hi/Lo for flashing purposes. But you can get them either way in most cases.

Re: HID members or people that know about HID's...question?
yeah for me i found them on ddmtuning.com just like all my friends did, and it was only 20 bucks more for the hi/lo addition (cost $64 after shipping and tax) and i love the hi/lo for flashing and driving in the hills, gives you a bit more distance, i say dont buy the regulars and want high beams later, do it right the first time.

Re: HID members or people that know about HID's...question?
It is plenty bright enough with the single. I dont think you can add them cuz the bulbs have an extra wire that goes into the HILO harness

I think thats correct...
And about the tape - ddm sends you double sided tape to mount the ballast. I twist tied one and stuck the other for a trial and it was a $50 trial.
They are too heavy to be mounted using tape in my opinion.

Re: HID members or people that know about HID's...question?
I love my Hi/Lo kit. It's a dual bulb set up. One bulb is on for my low beams, another bulb comes on for my high beams, and both bulbs come on for when flashing people. Best $100 I've ever spent.
