I am starting to think you benefit somehow from trashing DDM with as much as you do it. Give it a rest man, every time you say something like this at least half a dozen people reply with positive results from DDM. They are obviously doing something right.

I'm sure you've taken measurment after measurement and keep data rather than "I had no problems so it must be good"?

The human eye can easily distinguish between the color spectrum you're alleging DDM bulbs fall under.

It is very easy to tell 4300 from 5000 (a 700 difference) and 4300 from 6000 a (1700 difference). So the notion that DDM bulbs can have a difference of 2000, and you're the only one who has noticed this seems kinda silly. If we're talking about things that are easily noticeable to the human eye there is validity behind the argument that there are no complaints.

I measure the color with a tool made for metering the whiteness of white. I've bought about 5 or so DDM kits (1 for myself and a few for gifts) and the only one I could obviously see a difference was the bi-9000's)

The poor quality is not limited to variation in color temperature. The poor thermal performance is what really makes me mad. People using DDM H1's in their projectors have actually melted the shroud. Gearbox over at HIDP did a study on this, and about 20 different bulbs. If you want HIDs that only cost 25$ then its a good kit for you. Sorta like... if you need to get to work and you don't want to walk, your not going to be picky on which kind of car you have. For the lighting enthusiast, or someone who intimately understands lighting and electronics quality, they fall far short.
