I dont know what state you live in, but here in washington its illeagle to have the white reverse lights black, so yu might want to check your local laws on that. And if you have to remove it its really easy. The night shade comes off very easy with some soapy water and 2,000 grit sand paper so you dont scrach up your tail lights.

i just did mine in night shade a week ago. I strongly recommend wet sanding with a 1200 grit wet sand paper and then giving it 2 good coats of clear after the night shade has dried. Makes them nice and smooth and easy to clean like they were before paint
