Honestly all hid kits come with everything you need ( balest and bulbs ) and as long as you make sure not to touch the bulb at all !!! There all around the same as far as reliability

im running a ddm tuning 5k 9007 bi xenon kit. no issues and it included everything.

5k is what you usually see factory cars with. Sounds like you want either 6 or 8k

I have been debating the same thing soldwrangler. I was told to get DDM because they may be cheaply priced, but they are just as reliable or more than anything else. I'd say go with the 6K for the color you want.

Yeah 5k is bright white and 6k has a hint of blue. I have the 6k in mine and they shine pretty bright white but the bulb glows more blue. I am gonna get some 5k to replace my 6k cuz I want that crisp white color. From what I have noticed on others is the more "k" you go or the more blue you go the less light output. Basically you sacrifice light for color IMO.

DDM parts suck. The bulbs run hot and the ballasts are unreliable. Also I've checked them with a scope and they have excessive noise and USE 35W, not ouput 35W.

its funny how you always knock what everyone else has, even though everyone running the ddm kits have had little to no problems with them.

forgive us Jp7 for not having the superior amount of boredom you have and excessive funds laying around to get the best of the chink brand hid kits.

Only "problem" I've ever had with mine was when I accidently left my hood open after working on it and it POURED cats and dogs and I fried a ballast. I have friends who have had them for 3 years without even replacing a bulb... plus they have a lifetime warranty so cheap as they might be you are covered

I've seen DDM Bulbs melt chrome on the inside of reflectors, shrouds and projectors. I've also actually measured a difference in output stability and voltage.

Forgive me for simply just understanding more about HID than most, and actually taking the time because its something I enjoy. I do forgive you for being offensive though.

Just because I'm a "lights-nerd" does not mean I do it because I'm bored. I can only build racecars most of the day - I needed another hobby.

I don't know why you bash ddm. Way better than some ebay special anyday. Alot people have them and have no problems. Im not about to pay 100+ for hid's. IMO my ddm kits have paid for them selves already

That's like saying "my yugo gets me to work most of the time without breaking down so it must be good"

If they make you happy than that's fantastic.

For the lighting/technical enthusiast, they leave a lot to be desired.

If you want HID advice why not try asking around on an HID forum? - you might find that people agree with me?
