But its not cuz they work all the time lol. Never not fired right up and stayed lit for hours on end. Until I hear actual testimonials of these lights failing I will continue to promote ddm. Really there is nothing wrong with them in my opinion you just believe there is a better product out there and I believe and respect that.

And they still are 87905423567 times better visibility than the ever so popular silverstars that cost more lol. As for the chrome cover...I'm running the 55 watt ones and they're usually on for about 3 hours a day between driving to work, school, and helping out friends with their cars. No sign of any damage at all. Ddm even gives a warning about running the 55 watt setup so I do agree with you there has obviously been legitimate issues but as from my experience with my own truck-no problem. I will say their hi-lo is kind shoddy at best though haha.

I do see you're point though jp7, I know there are WAY better kits but for the price and for the everyday person ddm is a great product

Oh - just so you guys know, DDM sells the same bulbs if you get 4500K, 5000K or 6000K. All 3 choices are the same.

I've had DDM kits in my truck for a year now. I have no complaints what-so-ever... I have 5,000K 'cause I wanted white, not blue... I would recommend 8,000K for you.

Here I found this and thought it was kinda cool:

As for JP7 no one said DDM was the best kit in the world... we are just saying a lot of us run them in ranger housings and find that they are affordable with zero problems. Dude is looking for advice in an everyday application and most people who aren't enthusiasts aren't looking for best of the best of the best... they just want something affordable that works.

I measured them with my optik-led meter. Normally I use it to match LEDs for projects. (I bin my own LEDs when i buy them in quantity). The bulbs they sell have more variation and a wider range due to lesser quality (E.G. so if you buy a 5000k set, you more than likely will end up with 2 bulbs between 6200k and 5000k)

The ones I had in my 2003 (before I blew a ballast and had built my morimoto projectors) are visibly different.

I've bought somewhere between 5 and 10 ddm bulbs and a handful of their ballasts.

9007
no
6000K, maybe even 5000k if you just want a hint of blue.

Also, did some research and the output on the DDM bulbs were less. 16% less lumens compared to Morimoto.
