Default Replacing Rear Cab Mounts on 1994 Ranger XL 2.3L?...

Hey all,

On this forum, it was recommended that I check my rear cab mounts because i has some sag. Yes sir, they need to be replaced as does the brackets. Brackets are rusted through and not doing much down there.

So, I am looking to pick up a set from ebay. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...#ht_500wt_1182)

Any reason not to get these?

Also, I assume that I have to drill out the rivets and replace with bolts. Correct?

How do i lift the cab enough to move around in there? Jack it up a few inches? Please advise.

Thanks for any input or advice from anyone who has done this before.

i dont see why those wouldnt work. the old rivets need to be chiseled/ drilled out and you can bolt the new ones on, just be sure to use good grade 8 hardware and locking washers or lock nuts unless you have access to a welder, than you could weld them on. just use a 4x4 or 2x4 on a jack to lift the cab up enough to get the new bracket and rubber mount in.
