Default Horn upgrade

I just did this mod to my ranger and it has surely made the TOP 3 of my mod list! I went to the JY today and ripped a Dual HI/LO horn out of a 90+/- Superduty (Thanks 99offroadrngr for the idea!) and although it was not plug an play with the harness I have in my ranger but it worked great. All I did was tap into the wire going into the harness and mounted it in the same spot as the original horn. This mod cost me $5 and was very simple I suggest adding it to all your lists. Pleas keep this thread to question/comments regarding simple horn upgrades. No "hornblasters" please lol I know there are other threads related to this isssue but this could be a "How to" of some sorts I think if we keep it on track.

Well I would think that maybe a newer Superduty might be plug and play. This was out of an older truck. I like it so much I think i might see of i can wire up another dual and make it a quad lol!

You'll definitely want to run a fuse if you do that or else you'll start blowing/frying stuff lol. I got mine out of an 04 and it looks the same as that one

Very true. Should i just run one in line with the factory horn harness? The fuse for that in the truck only controls the high beams and horn so I'm not to worried about destroying much. I will def do it the right way if i do it tho.

I took a vid but you really cant tell anything by it. If you want to know what it sounds like just go hit the horn on any SuperDuty. Its nothing extreme just sounds like a real truck now lol
