Default trying to figure out what this shield is??

2003 XLT 4.0L 2dr ext. cab
I am thinking there was some sort of shield under the radiator that protected the metals hoses leaving the lower radiator. Anyone know what it is called?
I am looking on various parts websites and cannot get dialed in on what to call it.
It is plastic-atleast the remnants are plastic.
Maybe there is a skid plate I could put there??

It goes by many different names, skid plate, gravel guard, under engine cover, big plastic thing. Im sure you could probably replace it with a metal skid plate. Hopefully someone that knows about skid plates will tune in.

Think under engine cover is the "technical term" for it.

Yeah its just a plastic protector panel to keep stuff from the road from kicking up and puncturing a line. They can be found on rangers and more common to find them on explorers. I replaced mine because it was cracked. Pulled a brand new one from an explorer and painted it. If you need one its just easier and cheaper to hit the junk yard. I think I got mine for 8-10.00 and it was like new.

I do need one since all that's left of mine is the ends!! I was wondering why those lines were exposed and it finally hit me that there was a guard there.
How much you want for it?

try aeroshield. It's a generic location name.
Or air baffle, stone guard, lower radiator flap...

Be glad to, but he hasn't found a way to ship it yet. It's large.

Tell him in a box! It isnt that big! He can make a box out of flat cardboard and the shield is durable so no worries on breaking in shipping

if it's just one piece and pretty durable…just put a label on it and let FedEx sort it out…
The handling kit for my Impala arrived as a taped up bundle…sways, trailing arms, endlinks, bushings and all the nuts & bolts…all just held together with about half a roll of packing tape.
