Default paint a textured valance?

i was thinking about what my truck would look like if i painted my bumper and valance from black to white but how would it look if i painted a textured valance? i kno it wouldnt be shiny but would it look bad? anybody have pics?
also, does anyone know if i can buy a smooth paintable valance for an 04 xl? most i see are for edges and idk if i can get one that will fit with the bumper i already have.

Yea just clean it really well with hot water and dish soap. Then use Krylon Fusion spray paint and it'll turn out fine.

Painted my valance a year or so ago with krylon fusion gloss black, it's still shiny.

I just washed it & wiped it down with rubbing alcohol before I painted it.

It would take a few coats to possibly get it smooth. I dunno how well it would match either.

I recommend what ever you use, to apply a coat of Dupont's 2322S plastic adhesion promoter

hey terry...i got another question for you in regards to the painting process...
1) Would it be as simple as priming the bumper with that dupont stuff (btw, i looked on line, I found the DuPont Plas-Sticko 2322S adhesion promoter...is this the correct one? or are there more?) and painting it with, what the early posts recommended, Krylon paint? Or is there more too it? (I saw this pdf. online...

http://pc.dupont.com/dpc/en/US/html/...9385_2322S.pdf

Other than following simple instructions like letting it dry for 5 minutes, apply 2 coats of the DuPont...do i need those other DuPont products in there?

Thanks terry, I appreciate the help!

P.S. is sanding an option or do i have to do it?
