Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have owned a fiberglass tonneau in the past. It was nice & secure. Looked good painted to match the truck. But it was a PIA to remove with 1 person. It was a pain to store while it was off the truck. Had to be real carefull not to scratch it or the truck when removing, storing, & installing.
Never failed that when you put something back there, it would end up near the front of the bed. What a pain to crawl in there after things.
When I traded the truck after 2 years, I didn't get the same color truck so it cost me 250.00 to get it repainted.
When I traded that truck off after 3yrs I was so sick of that lid that I let it go with the truck.
So 600.00 for the purchase + 250.00 for the repaint = 850.00 + tax for 5yrs of use.

My new trifold tonneau cost me less than the repaint, weighs only 23lbs & is easily removed by my self in about 2-3 minutes. Easy to store, doesn't take up much room. & if what I'm hauling happens to slide to the front of the bed it's no big deal to simply unfold it & reach in & grab it. It has a 7yr warrenty but if I had to replace it in 3yrs I would still be money & satisfaction ahead 6yrs & 500.00 into them vs the 850.00 for 5years of not so happy service.

Plus I bought a plain Jane truck, I don't need a fancy looking cover for it. Rather I need it to be cheap like the truck was & user friendly.

Just trying to point out there are pro's & cons to all types of covers & each serves it's purpose. Everything has different values to people depending on their needs & wants.

Wrong section. Need to post that in the classifieds.

Sounds like a good deal for someone.

I've got a Leer that has been on the truck since 2001. The glue in the edging has died (must get out there and fix that!) but otherwise it's still waterproof, tight and locked down nicely. It's spent most of that time outdoors on driveways in SC too.

This would be ideal for any object you had that you couldn't actually close the cover but still wanted it to be covered

I always thought about a tonneau like that. But I have only seen it custom.

did that with a 02 Chevy and 4 air rams and a old olds ac compressor unit the top opened up and hooked the compressor to the key fob so when you hit the trunk button it turned on and raised up to the top of cab and when you started the truck it would go down on its own or you just hit the switch again and it would turn off and go down worked well for a year till one ram stuck and snapped off one corner

Tracking shows it will be delivered tomorrow.

What brand did you get? I'm tempted to get something for mine since I'm the one who get the grocery all the time, and so far I've been lucky! But with winter around the corner, I don't want to bring the snow into the house.

I got a net to help keep the grocery in place.

I noticed on your photo of your truck, you have bed rail over on as well??
