The one I got has snaps to connect to the frame of the tonneau. The frame of the tonneau connects to the bed with clamps. They hold great and no tools needed (minus the supplied alan wrench) and no holes in your bed!. The snaps are a little rough getting on the first time, but put em on and after a day the vinyl is stretched enough they become really easy to snap back on if you roll it up to get it out of the way. They also have a "peel and seal" or something like that. Not exactly sure how it works, but I think its just a strip of rubber that fits into a slot all the way around. Might be easier than snaps, I just liked the snaps a little better for...well I dunno why.

Oh! I assumed you had the peel and seal cover which was what I was looking at on the web page. Snaps, gotcha! A friend of mine has a snap on cover which has lasted him for over ten years with only a few stitches broken in a couple of places. His is easy to snap in the summer but a pain in the winter. Thanks for the info.

This is my second ranger. My first ranger I bought 2 soft tonneau covers, one was a ford one and the other was the cheapest thing on ebay. Both had the snap in supports, both constantly fell out. I hated it.

This truck I bought last week came with a Truxedo much like a poster a few above me had. It has 2 latching mechanisms, one near the front of the bed, and it will fold open the tonneau so you can get access without opening it all up just to get something that has rolled to the front. All the crossbars are attached to the actual cover so they dont fall out after driving 2 min down the road. It also has a latching system in the back so it will keep the cover taught at all times. Its very well made, and am very impressed with it. Well worth the price imo

I've got a Lund Seal and Peel, as does my uncle who is also a ranger driver, and it works great, doesn't shrink to bad in the winter either. I'd never use snaps again.

Ok. Thanks for the info! I'll give them a call tomorrow and may go down there if they have something I may like.

Velcro is commercial grade and seals perfectly. Cross bars are built into the cover. Great product at a decent price (about $280 on ebay).

Very good info from both of you. The Truxedo is the one i'm leaning towards getting. I like what I read and hear from you folks. Thanks!
