That's why I'm interested. I live in a remote part of Montana, well not remote BFE and I want people to be able to see I'm braking way ahead of time for something like a deer, a moose, bear etc.

I have the L1224R's in my taillights. Got them from JP7. I love them.

Richard....TONS of people have converted their 3 bulb tails to 2 bulbs.... TONS. It's a relatively easy swap to do too. IDK if we've got a how-to here, but I know for sure RPS and RF both have how-tos showing just how to do it.

I vote upgrade to 00+ 2 bulb tails.

Shane and i are buddies and all but i have to say i still like the 3 bulb setup more. There are plenty of nice aftermarket tails fir your setup. Go on ebay. All of these will work with L1224Rs.

I suggested newer model tails or aftermarket ones simply for the crystal clearness of the lense. you know how foggy 80's vehicles taillights are? thats how foggy and thick his lenses are. might as well take full advantage of them new LED's and make em REALLY pop as opposed to just sorta popping, if that makes sense.

Yeah Rich...all 93+ tals are interchangable.

K well then I'll look into switching to newer tails shane. Only because I like the newer tails better and I do think they are more clear. I know it would be easier to stick with what I have now but I don't like any of the aftermarket ones they have for the ranger in my year.

To get the full use from the LED 06+ tails seem to be the way to go

Oh I know what you mean about that. There is a big difference. Here are more of what my 93-2000 tails look like - The light gets through these just as good as the stock tails, they have a real nice thin crystal lense.

Some of these photos are pretty old..

I wen't with those because they look like the tails on my IX, and I really like the IX tail lights.

I also did the reverse lights LED, don't have L1224R's in white yet though, because they aren't out yet.

So the L1224R's in an '06 tail is a lot better than something like these? I'm trying to choose between the two. Your opinion would be appreciated.

Thanks, Chad.

JohnBaum13 has those I saw them in person and they are AWESOME

Compairing them to the L1224R's I think they may be equal that is my opinion.

How ever the L1224R swap is a heck of a lot cheaper

Shane or Jp7 can you list what year and model cars come stock with the L1224R lights?

I am going to a junk yard this weekend with a friend to look for some

Just incase anyone is interested the sockets you need come with the entire kit when you buy these now you don't have to go to a junk yard or auto-parts store looking for them thanks!
