wiper arm angle?
my wiper arms seem to be at the wrong angle. i have the correct size blades on, but they go down onto the windshield trim when they are off. the wipers also, when on, do not seem to wipe as far as they should, the stop maybe 2-3 inches short of where they seem they should go to. does anyone know how to rotate the "hub" where the wiper arm actually connects to the wiper motor. my wiper arm hub has the round connector with the oblong shape, not the perfectly round "slotted ones", so i cannot simply take off the arm, rotate the arm a little, then put it back on. i need to rotate the actual hub... i think.
any thoughts or suggestions?
thanks, much appreciated

Re: wiper arm angle?
stand the wiper up as if your going to change it. at the bottom of the wiper arm, there is a small hidden "clip" (it's on the side towards the windshield) this clip doesn't come off, it just pry's out a tiny bit. (as you pry the clip out, pull the wiper off of the mounting base) then, replace the wiper at the angle you want it to be, push the arm back onto the base and the clip will lock it into place.

thanks for the reply, but this is exactly what i am unable to do because like i said my hub is not the round hub that you can simply pull off the arm and correct the angle. my hubs are oblong, so the arm can only go on in one position.

as you can see it is not perfectly round, so simply taking off the arm and rotating it slightly then putting it back on will not work. it can only go on in one position. the actual hub the arm connects to needs to be rotated, then the arm can be put back on, but i do not know how to do this.

they are this far down on both sides.
some one please help me with this. thanks

Are the arms OEM or some "universal" ones purchased at an auto parts store? not all wiper arms fit allapplications.

Re: wiper arm angle?
I removed mine , and repositioned them , there was enough play to move the angle slightly . then once the clip locked the arm on all was good , they sit were they should

I removed the arm from the post , there is a small a small amount of adjustment. I then put the arm back on with the clip pulled fully out and reinstalled the arm in the cam lobe ,in your case moving the arm towards the top of the windshield. then Fully seat the wiper arm and lock the clip in place , it is acasr of trial and error , it took me about 20 minutes to get it to where I wanted the arm to be ,
If you look inside pocket of the arm and on the lobe there are splines , these allow for adjustment be it very small , but you don't need much to move the arm a lot

are your cam lobes perfect circles with grooves/splines whatever like the edge of a quarter or dime? or are they oblong like mine, the ones in the pictures? im pretty sure mine cant just be rotated and put back on because they are not circles, if it were that simple i would not have needed to post about this. mine only go on in one position, im pretty sure they cannot just be rotated. i will go out and check to be 100% sure
