Sun roof in an extended cab

Has anyone ever put a sun roof in an extended cab ? Was wondering if it was worth it ..

It is only worth it, if it is worth it to YOU. That would be pretty cool however

Right after I got my truck, I took it in to have a Webasto(?) power slider installed locally. The shop called me back about 2 hours later and told me they couldn't put one in because of my 4-doors. i was pretty pissed that they wasted my time, but at least it was before they got out the jigsaw!
I still think it would be awesome though.

Do you recall what the problem the four doors cause?

They were worried about the bracing in the roof-or lack there-of IIRC

I did mine myself. If I remember right, the unit cost around $300 shipped. The company it's from doesn't sell to the public though. They shop I work for just happens to be a dealer even though we don't normally do fresh installations.

Omg i've been wanting a sunroof in my extended cab too. I figured it be awesome but prolly too pricy to do.. my ma has a sunroof in her sporttrac but thats a quad cab

each shop may sell a different brand. best thing to do is go around to a few shops and get quotes and ask questions. my unit is made by donmar (donmar.com). but there are several other companies as well.
