Doesn't matter.... it's only there to make behind the grille not ugly. Dark color trucks don't have 'em. 04+ Don't have 'em at all period I do believe. That is....if you're talking of the black plastic crap that covers the red crap. lol.

BTW....for what it's worth. You see those ears on the front of your lower control arms?? Those are for jackstands. Where you've got 'em, is really unsafe btw.

i dont see what it would hurt if you took it off, except maybe overcooling in the winter time, but thats unlikely. although, my trucks never struggled to keep cool, even at the dunes so i dont really see a need in taking it off unless youre doing it for looks. just my 2 pennys
