I would really like to go with the XLT/FX4 with foglight.
How hard is it to wire a set of OEM foglights? And what are they wired into?

Not hard at all.

You probably already have the connectors at the bumper. Which that would go to the dist box. You need a radio bezel with switch and then wiring from switch to dist box. and a relay

You need to check at the bumper and see if you have the wiring or not. Also check behind the radio to see if maybe it is there already. Just look for a unplugged connector.

I also made this a separate thread.

yep. a "Ford Stereo Removal Tool" is required.

if you don't have one, or have the $5.00 or so to buy one, you can make one by bending two pieces of metal coat hangar wire into a broad U-shape. the distance between the two "legs" of the U should be the same as the vertical distance between the two holes on either side of your factory stereo. insert one U-shaped tool into the holes on each side of the factory stereo, pushing all the way in (towards the front of the truck). then, put some lateral tension on the inserted U-tools (pull each U towards the closest truck door) while simultaneously pulling back (towards the rear of the truck) on the entire radio, using the U-tools as "handles".
