Re: Problems with nerf bars
Where did you buy the bars from? Were they listed as step bars for ext cab 4 door?
2door ext cab rear bracket is a two piece bracket. The 4 door ext cab is 1 solid piece.

Re: Problems with nerf bars
Probably ship them back to truck champ unless they can find or have the right bracket for this set, have to wait till monday to talk to the parts manager, tried to save a buck, should have went with oem but when we made the transaction on ranger they threw in a set of mud guards{rear} But they said they didn't have the front ones? So I'm like what? Why don't they have front mud guards? So that's the reason I didn't go with oem.

Re: Problems with nerf bars
lol this seems to be a popular topic, I get my correct brackets today so we'll see how they mount up, might not be able to put them on if I have to get those rivets added though, we'll see

5/16" aluminum nutserts are you friend. That's how I got my '07 2dr bars to fit my '01 4dr. You don't even have to drill the holes out...just tap the threadsert/nutsert in the hole, then thread that bad boy in there.

Yeah, It's a pretty popular topic because the dumb a**es at Ford made 2 different sets of brackets when they could have just made the one bracket that's on the 4-door extended cab.
